Whether travelling for business or private reasons, we focus on understanding and meeting our client's individual needs. We are passionate about this and pride ourselves on offering advice on the finer points of travel; which seat on the aircraft is best, or what hotel will suit your needs, the shows or theatre to go to when you get there or which restaurant to dine at - all these little things that give us an edge."

We are part of the First Travel Group

Launched in 1997 and currently new Zealand's largest corporate travel alliance. The majority of the members are independent, owner operators like Accent on Travel. Because we are part of this alliance we are the largest purchasers of first and business class travel with Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific and among the largest purchasers for Air New Zealand and Qantas in New Zealand. First Travel Group Hotel rates are unbeatable in New Zealand and Australia, due to the volume advantage and as a member Accent on Travel takes advantage of this.

Nicola Thomas, Accent on Travel Parnell, Auckland

Nicola Thomas, Owner

I started working in travel in January 1980. So while I am definitely not a Generation Y! I do bring over 30 years of experience in this industry to my business. Atlantic and Pacific Travel was my training ground and after a short break, when I managed to squeeze in a couple of years in the advertising world, I started Accent on Travel with Vicky. I have been lucky enough to travel extensively over the years. If someone asks me where my favourite spot in the world is, well… if you know me you would not expect a short answer! Too many Favourites to choose one;

Kelly Showler

I started working at Accent on Travel in January 2005. I have been in travel since 1988 with a mixed experience of retail, wholesale and the corporate market. In 1999 I departed Auckland for my OE and lived in London. While in London I worked for American Express Travel in Mayfair for 4 years dealing with all the high end corporate clients who were based in the Mayfair / Park Lane area. I also had the opportunity to travel while I was working in London; to Greece, Turkey, Italy, France and more. I also went to most of the All Black games at the World Cup in 1999. My favourite place used to be Colorado, skiing at Breckenridge, Vail and Steamboat Springs, but this has recently changed after my trip to Botswana, Africa last year. This is now the top of my list and I can't wait to get back to Africa again soon.

Michele Ravlich

I started working with Nicola and Vicky in June 2006. I was a late bloomer when it came to joining the travel industry. I started in 2001 after training for a year. I have lived in Singapore and London. I was lucky enough to have a second OE in 2009 and consequently my Favourite spots shortlist has increased dramatically.

Vicky Sandman

Vicky Sandman was Nicola's business partner for 19 years. Vicky had been in the travel business for over forty years, and was an amazing source of knowledge. She loved hotels and could tell you the best place to stay in any city. Whilst flying wasn't her favourite pastime, she would fly anywhere to go on a cruise. Her business acumen was also a key part of our success. She was a great business partner and friend. Vicky passed away in March 2011.
